More Power. Built Differently.

More Phase Converter Power. Sequential Idler Starting.

The Phoenix DualZone uses two precision-balanced idler motors to provide more combined core steel, copper winding, and usable generating capacity than a same-rated single-idler design. The idlers start sequentially to reduce the peak starting event. Continuous input current is determined by the connected load, so the incoming service, breaker, feeder, and disconnect must be properly sized.

  • Dual precision-balanced idler motors provide more combined generating capacity than a same-rated single-idler design
  • Cleaner, more balanced three-phase power — ideal for CNC machines, motors, compressors, and sensitive industrial equipment
  • One single-phase input connection powers the system; size that circuit for the actual connected load and the model requirements below
  • NEMA 4 sealed control panel — rated for indoor and outdoor installation
  • Lifetime warranty on the control panel — backed by our Phoenix tech team

Built for Maximum Output

How the DualZone Delivers More Power.

Step 1

A Properly Sized Single-Phase Service

Connect a properly sized 230V single-phase supply to T1 and T2. Use the model chart below as a starting point, then have a qualified electrician verify the service, breaker, feeder, disconnect, run length, and local code requirements.

⚙️
Step 2

Dual Idler Motors — Double the Power Generation

Two heavy-duty TEFC cast-iron idler motors work in tandem to generate maximum three-phase output — delivering more combined generating capacity than a same-rated single-idler phase converter.

🔌
Step 3

Full-Power Three-Phase Output

The DualZone delivers full-rated three-phase power to your equipment. AutoLink auto-starts automatically — giving you maximum phase converter efficiency with zero manual switching.

Installation

Industrial-Grade Phase Converter. Straightforward Installation.

Every DualZone ships with a complete installation manual, full wiring diagrams, and a wire and breaker sizing chart. Our Phoenix tech team is available by phone to walk you or your electrician through the install — no charge, no ticket, just pick up and call.

Single-phase input terminals
Single-Phase Input Terminals Bolt-down lug connections on T1/T2. Properly sized wire per the included wire chart.
Second idler motor wiring
Zone 2 Idler Motor The second idler motor connects independently — Zone 2 only runs when that load is active.

Common Questions

Phase Converter Questions — Answered.

The DualZone uses two precision-balanced idler motors to provide more combined core steel, copper winding, and usable generating capacity than a same-rated single-idler design. Its sequential starting system reduces the peak starting event, but continuous input current still depends on the connected load and requires a properly sized electrical supply.
Yes. The DualZone is built for exactly that. Multiple three-phase machines can run simultaneously off a single DualZone phase converter — fed through a three-phase sub-panel just like utility three-phase service. Most shops wire the DualZone to a sub-panel and run every machine in the shop from it.
The dual-idler design generates a more stable, better-balanced third phase — particularly under load. Single-idler phase converters can experience voltage imbalance as load increases. The DualZone's second idler motor provides additional generation capacity, improving voltage balance and delivering cleaner power to your equipment across the entire load range.
If you need to run multiple three-phase machines or need more total horsepower than a single-idler converter can deliver cleanly, the DualZone may be the right choice. Call 800-417-6568 and we'll review your machines and electrical requirements.
Size the DualZone to your largest single motor, then add 50% for any additional running loads. For example: if your biggest machine is a 20 HP spindle, a GP25/50NL handles that load with headroom for additional equipment. Not sure? Call 800-417-6568 — our sizing team does this every day, free of charge.
