Compressor motors draw 6–8× nameplate amps at startup (LRA). A standard phase converter sized for running HP will struggle or fail to start. Phoenix NLA models are built for this.
Size Right — Add 50% Headroom
A 10 HP compressor needs at least a GP20NLA (20 HP converter). We build in headroom so your compressor starts clean on the coldest morning.
AutoLink Standard
All Phoenix converters include AutoLink, which safely reconnects the converter after a power interruption — critical for compressors that restart under pressure.
