PH vs NH Series — Which Do You Need?

Both the PH and NH series convert single-phase 460V to three-phase 460V. The difference is control:

• NH Series — Auto-start: converter starts automatically when power is applied. No button needed.
• PH Series (this unit) — Push-button: includes front-panel start/stop button and T1/T2 timer terminals for magnetic starter integration. Choose PH if you want to manually control when the converter runs, or if you need T1/T2 terminals for a magnetic starter circuit.

Sizing Guide

The 10 HP rating applies to easy-starting loads. For harder-starting equipment, you may need a larger converter:

• Easy loads (grinders, saws, drill press): 10 HP equipment → GP10PH ✓
